From the 14th of June until the 28th of September 2008 the audience at The Art Centre Silkeborg Bad will be able to gain an insight into a highly interesting period in modern art. The Art Centre Silkeborg Bad has succeeded in borrowing more that 120 works of art by internationally acclaimed artists from a large German private collection. The exhibition offers a great opportunity for getting some idea of pivotal aspects of contemporary art.

In the exhibition entitled "Call it what you like! COLLECTION RIK REINKING", the audience will thus, in Silkeborg, be able to experience works of art which challenge the prevailing conception of art, from mid-June and three-four months onwards. The selection of works of art for the exhibition takes as its' starting point Conceptual Art of the 1960's and -70's, Minimalism, Pop Art and Street-Art. All of these categories are well represented in Rik Reinking's collection.

The collector, the 32 years old Rik Reinking, has for some time now collaborated closely with employees at The Art Centre Silkeborg Bad in making the exhibition a interesting platform for the audience's encounter with the forms of expression of contemporary art. There will be made good use of the exhibition areas.
Reinking's motive for building a significant international collection is his passionate interest in contemporary art and in communicating art.

SESPER “FORMOL” @ ROJO ARTSPACE (SAO PAULO)

A exposição "Formol" contará com colagens inéditas desenvolvidas intuitivamente com material reciclado que estava aglomerado no atelier do artista durante décadas. Trabalhos desenvolvidos de forma frenética e entorpecida durante os seis primeiros meses de 2008.

A idéia do formol vem do fato de querer conservar as coisas positivas, mas também vem da experimentação como combustível. Desejo incontrolável de jogar formol em outras tantas coisas que não são agradáveis para ver como age o efeito desinfetante.

No material produzido para "FORMOL" SESPER não procurou mostrar imagens bonitas ou harmoniosas porque no conteúdo tem caos, repulsão, questionamento de valores pessoais e coletivos, etc. É a vida ao vivo

SESPER “FORMOL” @ ROJO ARTSPACE (SAO PAULO)

The exhibit "Formol" will give the viewer a chance to see new collage works developed intuitively from recycled material which had been piled up in the artist's studio for decades. Such works were developed in a frantic but anesthetized fashion during the first six months of 2008.

The concept of formalin represents the artist's will to preserve positive things, as well as the use of experimentation as a fuel. It depicts the uncontrollable desire of the artist to pour formalin in many other things which are not considered pleasant, in order for its disinfectant effect to be verified.

In the material produced for "Formol", Sesper did not seek to display nice or harmonious images because its content include a dialogue of chaos, repulsion, questioning of personal and collective values among other things. In other words, life in the raw.
